i am going to the rebuild route

i had decided to rebuild the m10 with new e12 head. possible dual carbs. here is the inspiration motor.

this was the close up of the blown e12 head. can you see the track between 1 and 2. on 2 sparkplug thread housing is missing. its done.

motor choices

1 - rebuild my e10 and replace the e12 head
2 - drop in m20 baby 6
3 - e30 m3

motor pull pt. 2

ian's getting his tools ready and you can see the big ass farm motor hoist/crane in the pic. the following fotos show motor mounted on the motor stand. i was hard to take foto and work on the car at the same time. my camera man show up kinda of late but i got some footages on video during the motor pull. i will post it later. its got a blown head, a lot of water came out with the oil. just don't know how bad ;(

there is a good chance of a blown head;( the compression test show 30 lbs. only on the 4th. here ian's he show up bright and early to help me take the motor out. this will be my first motor pull of my owne car. these fotos show taking the hood off, getting to ready for the motor pull.

BMW AG Mobile Tradition from Munich

a week ago, i wrote an email to BMW Mobile Tradition in Munich asking them about my car. The BMW AG MT Archives dept. wrote back:

Thank you for your email.

The BMW 2002 VIN 2581883 was manufactured on March 20th, 1972 and bought from BMW in München on April 6th, 1972. The original colour was Chamonix, paint code 085. This car was sent to BMW importer Hoffman Motors Corp. in New York City.

the car engine was rebuild a few years back, the head was upgraded from e10 to e12 with weber carb conversion.

take look inside

the interior is in pretty good condition, considering its over 30 year old. the orginal german odometer display was switch out form kilometer to miles and german lables to english.

here is my first BMW 2002. 1972 euro edition BMW 2002ti, i got a bio about the car origin in the folder for the car. american gi bought this car from BMW in west germany in 1972 and its have been in florida st. pete area the whole time. the folder i got with the car had a long history of services and upgrades.
